{VIDEO}Police Apologise For Tamale Assault

4 police officers have been interdicted for assaulting some Tamale residents over illegal electrical connection.
The officers were assigned to assist the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) to arrest persons engaged in illegal connections.

The officers were alleged to have whipped residents involved in the act with canes.
Apologizing to the victims and the general public, the police said the officers will face service inquiry and be subjected to the regulations of the Ghana Police Service.

Meanwhile, processes have commenced to identify the victims for the necessary medical assessment and assistance.
