Asante Kotoko Settle Part Payment Of Oku’s Debt

The Management of Asante Kotoko has paid part of Ashford Tetteh Oku’s debt as arranged to avoid wrath of court, www.opemsuo.com has revealed.
Asante Kotoko was ordered by court to pay former Professional League Board (PLB) Chairman Ashford Tetteh Oku, Gh¢120,000 as the legal practitioner aided the club to get the transfer fee of former midfielder Kwame Bonsu from Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis.
Mr Tetteh Oku after assisting the Two-time CAF Champions League winners at FIFA did not receive any payment and decided to drag the club to court for his Gh¢ 120,000.
It will be recalled that Kwame Bonsu joined Tunisian side Esperance de Tunis in 2019 but Kotoko did not receive the transfer fee of the player due them.
Kotoko, therefore, engaged the services of Offside Consult, a football management consultancy firm that deals with everything football related to help the club recover their locked up funds with the Tunisian side.
The Reds tried all tricks in the book to try and recover the transfer fee of the player, but were not successful and therefore employed the former Hearts of Oak General Manager’s services to help recover the cash.
Asante Kotoko transfered the central midfielder to the Tunisian outfit in 2019 after his excellent form in the CAF Confederations Cup group stage for a reported fee of $140,000.
The current management will use the next two months to clear the rest of the money.
