Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has named Steven Appiah, as Black Stars’ most outstanding Captain.
Although he believes each of the captains had their fair share of challenges under distinct eras, he said the union with which he (Steven Appiah) held the players of his time together was outstanding.

“They were all captains at different eras, different changes. I say Stephen Appiah because he united the team, took us to our first World Cup, “ he said.

To Nana Yaw Amponsah, the best players Ghana has ever had are 3 former captains and a striker of the Black Stars.

These he said are: Abedi Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah, and Tony Yeboah.

He noted that he chooses Steven Appiah for his leadership in the national team, Tony Yeboah for what he did out there as an ambassador, Asamoah Gyan and Abedi Pele for their immense sacrifices.
