1D1F: Government Commissions 10M Cassava And Yam Processing Factory

 

President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has commissioned CH Global Limited as part of the government’s 1 District 1 Factory programme.

The Factory is said to have cost some ¢10 million and is located at Addo Nkwanta in the Krachi East District of the Oti Region.

The factory produces yam into chips and yam balls and will begin processing cassava from 2022.
An average of 120 tubers of yam is processed per hour which amounts to 60 bags of yam chips and yam balls.
700 metric tons of Cassava be produced annually starting next year.

The state-of-the-art factory provides jobs to some 254.
