Eugene Arhin Rubbishes Ablakwa’s Allegations
Director of Communication at the Presidency, Mr. Eugene Arhin, has debunked the allegation of Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on President Akufo-Addo’s trip to the United Kingdom and Germany.
Recently President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo was in United Kingdom for the July 27 Global Education Summit. He paid an official visit to Germany before returning home.
Hon. Ablakwa in a Facebook post said the President used a VIP charter jet known as Boeing 737-900ER BBJ3 that cost the nation £14,000 per hour.
According to him, “its manufacturers say the cabin is divided into multiple sections to guarantee exceptional comfort. It provides a VIP lounge for relaxation, five-star dining facilities, royal master bedroom, cinema room specially delineated for watching movies which is a separate accessory from other in-flight entertainment systems, and of course just as you predicted correctly, complete with a luxury shower (apparently, the sky bath continues unabated).”
Addressing the issue, Mr. Arhin said the facts presented by Hon. Ablakwa are untrue and wondered Mr. Ablakwa’s source.
“I travel with the President on every single trip. In the trip to the United Kingdom on the Global Educational Summit, and subsequently to Germany, the President did not use this LI-DIO. This information he (Hon. Ablakwa) put out there is incorrect”, he noted during this week’s Jubilee House briefing.
