The recipients include 16 year-old Chrisman Antwi; 13 year-old Israel Ackah and Nana Kwame.
The three were seen in a video rescuing a helpless and hopeless taxi driver who for fear, jumped off his taxi cab that had been surrounded by flood water on Sunday, August 22, 2021, while it was raining.
The boys quickly rushed to his aid and succeeded in pulling him out of the water.
In an interview with TV3’s Ibrahim Abubakar, Mr. Akwasi Akowua said he feels indebted to the boys and will forever be grateful to them.
The Anyinase River in which the man almost got drowned flows at Ohwim Tigo Junction and is without a bridge.
Pure Fm report says following a visit of the three boys to the Bantama MP, he promised to have a bridge constructed as soon as possible.
He also rewarded the boys with an undisclosed amount of money to support their education, a tablet each and a promise to enroll them into the military (their dream career) when the time is due.
