Mahama Appoints Jones Borteye Applerh as Acting CEO of GIHOC

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Jones Borteye Applerh as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIHOC Distilleries Company.

His appointment was formally communicated in a letter to him by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama on Tuesday.

The letter stated that his appointment took effect on January 21, 2025, and is pending receipt of the Constitutionally required advice of the Board of Ghana Cocoa Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

“I write to formally inform you that H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana has in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution appointed you as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited.”

This comes after the President revoked that of Maxwell Kofi Jumah.

Before this appointment, Borteye was the secretary of the Small Arms Commission.
