Albert Amoah Ruled Out For Eight Weeks

Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has been ruled out from games of the Porcupines in the next two months having sustained a partial tear of the anterior talofibular ligament in his right leg.

The talisman picked up the injury during the 1-1 draw away game at Medeama last week, an injury that sidelined him from the club’s FA Cup round-of-32 win last Sunday.

This a major blow to the club as Albert not long ago returned from an injury.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum described the development as unpleasant news in an interview with the club media.

“I initially had chills when it happened during the game because Albert is naturally a strong boy, but the shout he made during the impact, left me worried.”

The gaffer has his fingers crossed, hoping that the player’s recovery will be swift as he plays a pivotal role in the team.

“Injuries are part of the game, and we can just hope he recovers quickly, as he has shown with his previous injury.”
