Boamang and Nkoranza Grateful to Otumfuo

Boamang and Nkoranza Traditional Areas have expressed appreciation to the Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for paving the way for their vacant male stools to be occupied.

They separately conveyed their profound gratitude to the King during audience with him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, December 19, 2024.

Boamang
Oheneba Adu-Brade II, the newly enstooled Boamanghene was accompanied by other chiefs, and the Queen, Oheneyere Akua Pokuaa.

The chief swore oath of allegiance before Otumfuo on Monday, September 30, 2024.

This came after His Majesty reaffirmed Oheneba’s legitimacy to the stool with historical precedents and urged the entire town to accept and abide by it, resolving an outstanding dispute that had delayed the enstoolment.

Nkoranza
Though the male stool of Nkoranza Traditional Area is yet to be occupied, the longstanding dispute over who takes over the stool has been resolved.

Otumfuo superintended over the resolution and the selection of a candidate for the stool in the last meeting of the Asanteman Council on Monday.

The candidate, alongside his stool elders, expressed gratitude to Otumfuo at the Manhyia Palace for his intervention.

Otumfuo in response directed the elders to put in place the needed preparation to enstool him immediately for him to take the oath of allegiance in the days ahead.

“I will observe the first Akwasidae Festival {in 2025} with him,” he noted.
