2024 Elections: Bawumia Votes in Walewale

The Vice President and 2024 Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has voted in the Presidential and Parliamentary election ongoing today, December 7, 2024.

He cast his vote at Kperiga Presby D/A primary school polling station in the Walewale constituency of the North-East Region quite early in the morning.

In a Facebook, he encouraged voters to go out and vote too.

“I just finished casting my vote at the Kperiga Presby D/A primary school polling station in the Walewale constituency of the Northeast Region. Kindly get out and vote, too.”

Today’s election will see 18,774,159 registered voters voting in 40,648 polling stations in 276 Constituencies.

Bawumia is contending for the Presidential seat alongside John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, an Independent Candidate, Christian Kwabena Andrews of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Daniel Augustus Lartey Jnr of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) and George Twum-Barima-Adu, an Independent Candidate.

The rest are Nana Kwame Bediako, an Independent Candidate, Hassan Abdulai Ayariga of the All People’s Congress (APC), Kofi Akpaloo of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mohammed Frimpong of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Akosua Frimpomaa of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and Kofi Koranteng, an Independent Candidate.
