Bring Your Candidate on Monday; Asantehene to Sabronum Kingmakers

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has charged kingmakers of the Sabronum Traditional Area with the responsibility of electing a suitable candidate for the paramount stool.

The candidate must be presented to the Asanteman Council headed by the Asantehene when they convene on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Manhyia Palace.

Three of the four kingmakers were present on August 19 when the Asantehene gave the instruction. They appeared before the Council to respond to reasons for the delay in enstooling a new chief.

It was confirmed before the Council that five persons had shown interest in the position; however, a decision was yet to be taken on them.

Otumfuo therefore instructed the kingmakers to do the needful immediately.

“Convene a meeting and settle on your choice out of the five and then present him to me on Monday. Pass through the Kontri Division to present him next week.”
