Police Interdict 2 Officers for Extortion

Two police officers have been interdicted by the Ghana Police Service for allegedly extorting money from a pillion rider.

The two have been identified as Lance Corporal Philimon Agbevem and Lance Corporal Peter Gbadagbo.

A statement by the police said the incident which was captured on camera occurred on July 22, 2024.

Meanwhile, the decision to interdict them was relayed to them on August 9, 2024 by the police administration.

“The two, Lance Corporal Philimon Agbevem and Lance Corporal Peter Gbadagbo are assisting in investigations,” the statement communicated, with assurance to the public.

“We would like to assure the public that they will be put through the due process of the law.”
