NPP Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman Dead
The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Nhyiaeso Constituency Chairman, George Kofi Adjei, popularly known as Geokad has died.
It is reported that he passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Wednesday, 31 July 2024, while receiving medical attention following a brief illness.
Known as the NPP’s longest-serving constituency chairman, his death has sent shockwaves within the party with the Vice President and Flagbearer of the party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia offering their commiserations to the family.
In a Facebook post, he testified of the dedication and commitment he had towards the party as he mourned his passing.
Dr Bawumia also acknowledged the role he played toward his election as the NPP’s Flagbearer for 2024.
“Memories of his work towards the unity and wellbeing of the Party are still fresh in my mind. I can not personally thank him enough for the significant role he played towards my election as the Flagbearer of the party.
“Chairman, we are sorry you had to leave us at this crucial moment but we are assured that your spirit will forever be with us as we journey to make your dream of winning the 2024 election come through.”
