Asantehene to Deliver Keynote Address at a UK Symposium
The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is scheduled for a signature address at the maiden edition of the Black Heritage Network Symposium, an event to be hosted by Citibank- a preeminent banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs- in the United Kingdom (UK).
The event will take place on Friday, July 2, 2024.
The symposium under the banner “Celebrating Asante Legacy, Excellence and Partnerships”, driven at honouring the King as part of his 25 Anniversary on the Golden Stool will have the keynote address themed, “The Asante Kingdom: Historical Legacy and Its Impact on Modern Economic Development”.
It will also recognise the Asantehene’s contributions and vision for sustainable development, organisers said in a statement.
The event will be held at the Citi Group UK Head office in Canary Wharf, London and is expected to be attended by former President of Ghana, His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, Citi Group Chief Client Officer, David Livingstone, and other notable dignitaries, scholars, and business leaders.
“The event is strictly by invitation and aims to celebrate the profound heritage and achievements of the Asante Kingdom while fostering discussions on future collaborations and economic growth,” APC said in their statement.
The event is a collaborative work between Citi London’s Black Heritage Network and the Asante Professionals Club UK.
