Buz Stop Boys Announce Kumasi Chapter

Buz Stop Boys, a Non-Governmental & Non-Profit Organization popular for their commendable sanitary ventures across the country, is set to establish a chapter in Kumasi.

The move forms part of its first anniversary celebration this month, it announced this in a video posted on X, formerly Twitter.

“As part of our first anniversary, we are starting Bus Stop Boys Kumasi. We are bringing our activities closer to the people of Kumasi. It will start in the second week of July.”
It thus appealed to the general public for assistance in setting up the chapter with the needed sanitary tools and equipment to facilitate its operations.

“We cannot bring tools from Accra so anyone with the means and will can assist us with tools like rakes, wheelbarrows, shovels, handheld mowers, tricycles and any tool and equipment.”

The group founded and led by Ohene Kwadwo Sarfo undertakes voluntary desilting of choked drains and gutters in cities and towns to avoid flooding during the rains. They also clear weeds along streets in the country to ensure the safety of motorists.

They work under the theme “The Environment is our Only Home”.

The activities of the young and vibrant group have gained widespread popularity and recognition in all corners of the country. They were recently adjudged the Outstanding Volunteers of the Year at the Ghana Young Stars Awards.

They have as well received donations- both money and substances- from leaders and celebrities in the country such as former President John Dramani Mahama, Francis Asenso Boakye, the Minister for Roads and Highways and Shatta Wale.

In a video, they showed how some of these donations were prudently being utilized to make their activities effective. They invested the donation from Mr Mahama in tricycles.
