Kennedy Agyapong Accompanies Bawumia to Manhyia Palace
Among the delegation that accompanied Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to seek the blessing of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, an unsuccessful flagbearer aspirant in the race of the NPP.
The Parliamentary representative of the people of Assin Central Constituency has been seen with the Presidential Candidate of the NPP since his tour in the Ashanti Region began on Monday, June 10, 2024.
He joined the National and Regional Executives of the party as well as some government officials at the Palace on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Introducing the delegation, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah highlighted the presence of three aspirants including Kennedy Agyapong who joined the race to lead the party into the national election but failed.
“I would like to highlight the presence of Kwabena Agyapong, our former General Secretary and Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku and Kennedy Agyapong.”
According to him, their presence with the entourage reflects the unity that exists currently in the governing party.
“We know with unity, we will prevail as a party,” he told Otumfuo.
Among the delegation were NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo and MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.
