Hearts of Oak Board Engages Management Over Poor Run

The Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak is engaging the Management and technical team over the recent poor run of the Phobians.

This was conveyed by the club in a press statement on Friday, May 3, 2024.

The engagement, it said, is aimed at reversing the ‘unacceptable’ results produced by the team in their recent Ghana Premier League (GPL) matches and returning to the winning ways.

“The Board would want to address the recent poor results of the team which we find unacceptable. Please be assured that we are actively engaged in discussions with the Management and Technical team to address this concern promptly.”

The current trend was unexpected as the club’s hopes soared following the appointment of Aboubakar Ouattara in mid-February which was initially characterized by back-to-back victories.

The team has lost five of their last six matches in the league, only four points away from relegation with 35 points in the 12th place.

Fans have expressed their fury at the recent results.

The board has since promised them the requisite measures to transform their fortunes.

“The Board will ensure the club takes all necessary measures to reverse this trend and regain our competitive edge.”
