Court Remands Funny Face For Two Weeks
The Kasoa Akweley District Court in the Central Region has remanded Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, into police custody following his arraignment on Tuesday.
The actor has been charged with reckless driving after knocking down five individuals over the weekend.
He will remain in the custody of the police for the next two weeks to afford prosecutors the necessary space to undertake investigations.
Funny Face knocked down five individuals including two children with his vehicle at the Kasoa Kakraba Junction on Sunday, March 24 night.
Eyewitnesses at the scene alleged the actor was drunk. Though there was no casualty, all the victims are receiving treatment in various medical facilities with one of the victims reported to be in an unstable condition.
Funny Face has been battling depression for some years and recently returned to the public scene after confining himself in a psychiatric clinic.
It is not certain if he is experiencing another episode but his condition seems to be linked to his separation from his kids. In a recent social media outburst, he called out the mother of his kids for refusing him the privilege of spending time with them.
