Prez Ouattara Praises Asantehene’s Hospitality
Amidst diplomatic engagements, hospitality shone brightly as the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, embarked on a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The warmth of the King’s welcome and the graciousness of his demeanour were evident as he extended his hand in friendship and fraternity.
His hospitality left an indelible mark on President Ouattara and his delegation.
But it was the dinner that truly epitomized Otumfuo’s legendary hospitality.
With the grandeur of the Manhyia Palace as the backdrop, the guests were treated to a feast fit for royalty.
As President Ouattara later reflected on his social media page, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for the “warm welcome” and “brotherly dinner” offered during their visit.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of Ashanti, for the warm welcome and brotherly dinner offered to my delegation and myself in Kumasi as part of the celebration of the 67th Independence Anniversary of Ghana.”
The President of Cote d’Ivoire, undertook his maiden visit to the abode of the Asantehene in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana on February 5, 2024.
He was received at the Manhyia Palace along with the Ivorian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Assielou Felix Tanon; Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah; Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Stephen Asamoah Boateng; Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCO); and others.
They were led by the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
