Mukwala Sure Of A Win For Kotoko On Sunday
Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala is certain the club will chalk their fifth consecutive win this season across all competitions when they come head-on with their arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak this Sunday.
The Ugandan believes the fine form of his team will give them the advantage over the Phobians who have chosen the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as the temporary home ground for their matches this December.
“We are expecting a good game. We have picked our momentum now. With the form we have now, I think we shall win the match,” he said in an interview after their match day 14 game against Berekum Chelsea where the Porcupines recorded their fifth win in the Premier League this season, thanks to a sole goal by the striker.
It appears fans are also expecting their wins to run through on Sunday.
They cheered the players and technical team on after the game against Berekum Chelsea on Monday, December 4 with chants carrying a simple message- their hope for victory on Sunday.
“Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love. We shall still push until we get the ultimate goal,” Mukwala assured the fans during the interview.
Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will lock horns on Sunday, December 10 at the home grounds of the former.
Hearts of Oak will be using the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for their home games after they were denied access to the Accra Sports Stadium by the National Sports Authority (NSA).
Last month, the NSA wrote to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), informing it that the stadium will be unavailable for soccer games in December.
