Alan is more of a man than Akufo-Addo – Governance Expert
Governance expert Mr. Kwaku Owusu Antwi has commented on Alan Kyerematen’s departure from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), suggesting that it shows that he is more of a man than President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“Alan has proved that he is more of a man than Akufo-Addo.”
In an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye on September 26, he drew attention to the past when President Akufo-Addo referred to the late Prof. Atta Mills as ‘Professor Do Little.’ In a striking contrast, he described Akufo-Addo as ‘Akufo-Addo Do Nothing’.
Alan Kyerematen, for the second time in his political career, announced his resignation from the NPP. He stated his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 General Elections due to his dissatisfaction with the recent developments within the Party and the results of the Super Delegates Conference.
Alan will launch the “Movement for Change in Ghana,” featuring the Monarch Butterfly as its symbol and the motto “Ghana Will Rise Again.”
The NPP has expressed disappointment over Alan’s decision, describing it as “unfortunate.” A statement released by the General Secretary of the NPP acknowledged Alan’s long-standing membership but expressed regret regarding his decision. The party plans to hold a press conference later today at its headquarters to address the situation.
