Mother Abandons Baby At Pastor’s Doorstep, Leaves Note Behind
A mother has abandoned her two days old baby and a note at the doorstep of a pastor.
The baby was found on Sunday, July 16 at Ahodwo in Kong in the Eastern Region by the resident pastor of New Covenant Apostolic Church in Ahodwo, Kpong in the Eastern Region, on Sunday, according to reports.
An accompanying note left with the baby disclosed the mother was on her way to commit suicide.
“By the time you finish reading this letter, I will be dead and gone.”
Justifying her decision to commit suicide, the note said that was the only option for the baby to survive.
“Please take care of this baby as your own child. Please I regret doing this but that is the only way this baby can have a chance to live.”
The note also revealed the gender of the baby as a girl as well as her age.
“Please she was born just yesterday night. Please take care of her. I’m sorry please forgive me. God bless you,” she concluded.
