Dreams FC Secure CAF Licence For African Club Competitions
Dreams FC have been granted a CAF licence to partake in various African Club competitions.
What this means for the Club is that it will make a historic appearance in the CAF Confederations Cup following its victory in the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup.
Earlier, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said it had engaged five eligible Premier League clubs for this year’s licence application, however, Dreams FC as well as Bechem United FC, King Faisal FC and Aduana FC had not filed an application by the set deadline in the online platform.
But a statement from Dreams said it applied for the licence and was duly issued.
“Dreams FC have already applied for and been duly issued the license by the instant body to make its first-ever appearance in an African Club competition.”
It also confirmed the decision to go for the licence was after deliberation by its Management members.
Their victory in the MTN FA Cup gives them the opportunity to compete in the 2023/2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
“Management is already working assiduously to present a formidable side for this task and now awaits the draw for the first preliminary round, expected in August,” the statement assured.
