N’Golo Kanté Joins Al-Ittihad Club
Chelsea has lost their midfielder, N’Golo Kanté to Saudi Arabia’s Professional league club Al-Ittihad.
The club confirmed the move in a statement on Tuesday after a medical test was conducted on the player.
This follows the surprise announcement of Real Madrid’s Karim Mostafa Benzema to the same Club earlier this month.
The French national has signed a three-year deal with the Club and will wear the number 7 jersey.
“Kanté’s addition to the Al-Ittihad Club is considered one of the most high-profile and impactful in the club’s history.”
The new signings, the club note, are in preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for the end of the year.
Chelsea have confirmed the 32-year-old’s move in a farewell message to Kante.
“Farewell, N’Golo. Thanks for everything,” they tweeted.
He joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016 at Chelsea winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup with the Club.
During his last premier league season at Chelsea, he made just 7 appearances, zero goals and one assist.
He made two appearances in the 2022/2023 Champions League.
