Parliament Pays Tribute To Late Hon Dr Anthony Akoto Osei

Parliament of Ghana has paid tribute to the late Hon Dr Anthony Akoto Osei for his contribution to national development and his service to the people of old Tafo Constituency and the NPP.

Making a statement on the floor of parliament, the current MP, Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah said the news of Dr Akoto Osei’s death came to him as a shock.

According to him, Hon Akoto Osei was a very experienced and competent man and will be missed greatly in the political landscape of the country.

The Member of Parliament for Okaikoi Central Hon Patrick Yaw Bramah also commented on statement concerning his experience with the late Dr Akoto Osei.

Also the member of parliament for Asawase constituency, Hon Muntaka Mubarak Muhammed commented on the statement urging members of parliament especially the young ones to emulate the late Dr Akoto Osei for his political principles; in not taking entrenched positions as a minority and also as a majority member.

Hon, Muntaka said the late Akoto Osei always stood for national interest rather than the interest of his political party.
