Dr Bawumia Is Not Campaigning For Flagbearer Seat – Spokesman Clears Air

Dr Gideon Boako, the spokesperson for the Vice President of Ghana has denied reports that Dr Mahamadu Bawumia’s visit to the Northern Region is a way to campaign for the New Patriotic Party flagbearership position.

Dr Bawumia took a three-day tour to the Northern Region to inspect ongoing government projects, he commissioned completed ones and interacted with stakeholders.

Most people saw his journey the other way and accused him of using the tour to campaign for the bid to replace Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the 2024 polls.

His spokesman told Citi News that all reports of his campaign are false and the vice president was just availing himself to the people to come and interact with him.
