Ghanaian Woman Stranded In SA Pleads For Support To Return
Ellen Boateng, a 35-year-old Ghanaian living in South Africa has pleaded for support to return to Ghana after realising promises made to her by her brother were castles in the air.
Sharing her story with Ekuonaba TV, she said she worked as a teacher in a private school at Taabuom in the Ashanti region of Ghana before she moved to SA in 2017.
She claimed her brother enticed her and funded her movement from Ghana, however, she got there to realise she was deceived.
Ellen now braids hair in SA and earns less than she used to earn while in Ghana. She is required to send all her meagre earnings to her sick mother who is taking care of her three sons.
She now wants to return to Ghana, however, she does not have the means to do so.
“I’m pleading with Ghanaians to help me out with my plane ticket”, she said.
