Bridge That Collapsed During Inauguration Under Construction
The viral footbridge that collapsed while being commissioned is reportedly under construction again.
The construction of the bridge which collapsed was funded by a charity organisation in DR Congo called DJCEP.
The organisation says the first bridge collapsed because it was constructed by people who lacked the necessary skills.
According to them, the new bridge will be safer for commuters.
On September 5, 2022, a video circulated on social media showing an almost tragic incident where a supposedly newly constructed bridge caved in and nearly swallowed authorities undertaking the commission.
The video captured the authorities on the bridge ready to cut the ribbon to signify the commissioning.
As soon as the ribbon was cut, the footbridge caved in, betraying the authorities to fight for their lives.
