Atta Mills’ Family To Drag Anyidoho Before The Traditional Court Over Tomb Reforms
CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, Mr. Koku Anyidoho has been known to be the laudable person in the Asomdwee Park reforms. He collaborated with the government under the supervision and mandate of the Ghana Coastal Development Authority.
Brother for the late President His Excellency Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, and MP for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem Constituency, Hon. Samuel Atta Mills has asserted that the reforms were made without the consent of the family of the late President as well as himself as a Member of Parliament.
According to him, Asomdwee Park is a state property vested in the National Security and that the government has the authority to reform the place as already highlighted to be converted into a tourist site which is not a problem at all. However, what the family is aggrieved over is the fact that they were not consulted before the said reforms were made for the necessary traditional procedures to be put in place.
Hon. Samuel Mills emphasized that “Koku Anyidoho and his foundation including the government has the right to reform the place but has no right to touch the tomb or the body without the family’s consent because doing so comes with traditional procedures that should be done by the family”.
“It has become enough for the family to contain and my brother Mills is yet to be sworn in as the Family Head (Abusuapayin) and seek that they are dragged to the Traditional Court for such action”.
He said they are pleased that the Asomdwee park has been reformed to attract that level of beauty but anything should have been done with the consent of the family but not an individual who isn’t a family member.
