U.S Embassy In Ghana Receives Reply From Sam George Over LGBTQ+ Tweet
The United States Embassy in Ghana has received a reply from Sam George, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency after the former made their expectation on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning known.
The US embassy in a tweet said its country is bent on safeguarding the safety of all members of the LGBTQ+ community and their rights.
“The U.S. is committed to ending violence, discrimination, and stigma against LGBTQI+ persons and promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms for all”, the tweet relayed.
The tweet, two hours later, was retweeted and captioned by the Ghanaian legislator.
“Ghana is also committed to ending senseless gun violence anywhere and everywhere in the world. We are committed to seeing school kids go to school without their parents scared of receiving calls of a school shooting involving military grade weapons”, Sam George hit back at the Embassy.
