80% Of Our Educational Institutions Fail To Publish Their Annual Reports – EDUWATCH

The African Education Watch (EDUWATCH) has released the second edition of its research findings on Ghana’s educational sector, precisely on educational institutions.

Speaking on Opemsuo Radio with Agudey, Research Fellow and member of EDUWATCH, Mr. Kwasi Nimo Junior said, their findings revealed that 80% of Ghana’s educational institutions failed to publish their annual reports.

According to him, the institutions’ annual performance and strategic plan reports are published online for the public to know how those institutions are doing, but this does not happen.

Mr. Nimo stated that the websites and E-mail address of the 18 institutions under the Ministry of Education including the ministry itself has remained inactive for the past year.

This according to him makes it difficult to access information about the state of Ghana’s education sector, especially, in the case of foreign nationals and institutions.
