Premier League clubs undergo training on new club licensing online platform

The Ghana Football School has organised a workshop for all premier league clubs on the use of the new licensing online platform as part of the licensing process for the 2023/24 season.

The workshop, which was attended by the Chief Executive Officers and Club Licensing Officers, was facilitated by Club Licensing Manager Julius Ben Emunah, with support from the Club Licensing Committee led by Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh and CAF CLOP Instructor Francis Adu.

Ghana is one of the few Member Associations in Africa to accept the challenge of implementing the online platform in its first year of launch by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

After a successful application by the CAF inter club Applicants, Medeama SC and Dreams FC, the GFA is now implementing the online platform for Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Premier League clubs.

In view of this, aside the general orientation and refresher on the club licensing regulations, clubs were also taken through the process of applying and uploading information and documents on the online platform as part of the application process for the 2023/24 football season.

There was general commitment and excitement from the clubs after the exercise in anticipation of this historic feat in the licensing regime of the GFA.
