5 In Police Grips For Allegedly Snatching Car

Five suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the police for snatching a car in Tamale, the Ghana Police Service has said.

The five were arrested at Buipe in the Savannah region after allegedly perpetrating the crime in the regional capital of the Northern Region, a police report said.

According to the police, the suspected armed robbers snatched a Toyota Camry saloon car from its owner at a residential area in Tamale and bolted.

Upon police pursuit, the suspects were rounded and a search on them led to the retrieval of a G3 Rifle and a pistol, reports say.
