3 Suspected Robbery Syndicate Members Busted

Three individuals suspected to be members of a robbery syndicate in the country are in police custody after their arrest last week.

The suspects identified as Isaac Brena Eshun, Peter Amuzu, and Ibrahim Mohammed are assisting in police investigations, the Ghana Police Service said in a press statement.

They were arrested through an intelligence-led operation after they were found connected to a robbery incident which took place at East Legon in Accra on August 18, 2024.

Investigations proved that the suspects are part of a criminal syndicate involved in the robbery and sale of stolen vehicles across the country, the police added.

“The suspects were arrested in a series of coordinated Police operations. While suspects Isaac Brena Eshun and Peter Amuzu, were arrested on 21st and 23rd August respectively in Accra, suspect Ibrahim Mohammed was arrested in Tamale on 24th August 2024.”

Among the things that were retrieved from them included two iPhones, a Mercedes-Benz C180, and three additional vehicles.

The police suspect the items were obtained in their robbery operations.
