2024 Elections: We Are Not Going To Vote On Party Lines But Development Based- Chief Of Mamponteng

Barima Saasi Ayeboafo, the Chief of Mamponteng II has told the New Patriotic Party that henceforth his subjects will no longer vote on Party affiliation patterns but based on policy issues concerning Kwabre East Constituency development.

He made this statement at Mamponteng on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in a press conference dubbed “Boniaye Kae”.

Nana Saasi Ayeboafo II says “If the NPP accepted that Kwabre East Constituency is their highest voting basket they should respond to their plight as far as deplorable roads in Kwabre East Constituency are concerned”.

Furthermore, he expressed worry over the lack of a Government Senior High School at Mamponteng which is the Municipal capital of the Kwabre East Municipality.

On the health front, Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II questioned why Government did not recognize Kwabre East Constituency under the Agenda 111 hospital projects.

In addition, Nana Saasi Ayeboafo II bemoaned over the uncompleted Mamponteng Market project which is abandoned for the past 10 years.

He said NPP Government has neglected Kwabre East Constituency in terms of developmental projects.

He called on Mamponteng and the good people of Kwabre East Constituency to wake up from their slumber concerning Kwabre East Constituency’s development.

On their part, some of the traders at Mamponteng speaking to Opemsuo Radio’s Kwame Adu Gyamfi Kumanin voiced their bitterness over the uncompleted Mamponteng Market Project as they are trading at electricity high tension poles threatening their lives.

According to them, they are suffering as traders as they are at risk for various illnesses.

They said that they are going to advise themselves concerning general elections.

Finally, they called on President Akufo-Addo to make Kwabre East Constituency development his topmost priority as the Constituency remained the backbone of the NPP in terms of 2016 and 2020 general election results.
