The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced online training sessions for teachers who have benefitted from the One Teacher, One Laptop (1T1L) initiative starting from February 16.
“All teachers are expected to undergo some basic ICT training to help them use the various e-learning resources that have been made available on the laptops“, the GES said.
The workshop is through the collaborative efforts of the Ghana Education Service (GES), K.A. Technologies(KAT), the organisation supplying the laptops, and Microsoft.
In a letter to Regional Education Directors, the GES indicated that each teacher will be entitled to 3 days of the online training session.
For the scheduled time, the GES said there will be three sessions from 2 pm to 6 pm with each session lasting 2hrs.
“Teachers will receive points for their Continuous Professional Department (CPD) and a certificate for participation upon successful completion and assessment”, a part of the letter read.
The project was launched on September 3, 2021, for the supply of 280, 000 laptops to pre-tertiary teachers.
