13 Arrested for Attacking Tamale Court
Thirteen (13) suspects have been arrested by the police for attacking a court in the Northern Region.
This was relayed by the Ghana Police Service in a scanty Facebook post on Monday, August 28, 2023.
According to the police, they attacked the Tamale District Court 1.
“Police arrest 13 people for attack on Tamale District Court 1,” it read.
It is not yet known when the attack took place and little was said about it in the communication.
It, however, assured that details will be fed to the public later.
Social media users reacted to the news by decrying the action of the said suspects with one lamenting, “The level of lawlessness and indiscipline of the youth is becoming alarming. The security sector players has to do something drastic about it.”
“Bravery can’t be measured by those who wield machetes or vent their spleens by attacking state institutions. There have been series of public education on how to address or express one’s anger . The establishment of Ghana police service is to address issues of such magnitude. The Ghana police service did the needful. Bravo! People can’t act with impunity and a complete disregard of the laws of the state. Luckman weeps!” another said.
Others used the platform to commend the Service for their “swift” response to such incidents.
