1 Arrested for Accra Airport Roundabout Monument Damage

A man has been arrested by the police for allegedly causing damage to a monument at the Airport roundabout in Accra in the Greater Accra Region.

He was arrested on August 31, 2024 and has been identified as Newwel Gavu by the Ghana Police Service.

A statement issued by the Service noted that the efforts of the public and the Airport security officers led to the successful arrest of the suspect and therefore commended them for their vigilance.

“The Ghana Police Service today, 31st August 2024, arrested suspect Newwel Gavu for causing damage to a monument and some sign posts at the Airport roundabout in Accra.

“The suspect is currently in custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.”
